I am sooo proud of all of you that showed up last night while I didn’t get to record everyone on the call due to equipment malfunction however we pushed through at a time it’s sooo easy to get distracted and caught up in our default ways of dealing with pain caused by police brutality on our community. So when I see y’all Beautiful faces on these calls , I am beyond grateful to just share in your presence knowing that you all are safe, in the moment. ⁣ ⁣ virtual spaces like these, the use of technology and God seem to be the only weapons we have to protect & enforce our basic human rights. Honestly I feel in my heart, if used in the right way can effect real change in this country and the world for black people n eventually all people of color. ⁣ ⁣ While this seems Impossible in the current state, together with God anything is possible but it starts with us. We know that America listens when we stop spending our money or spend it differently. 1 thing this business has taught me is how to fight from home about things that effect me, family & the livihood of my community without having to put myself out people I love in harms way. ⁣ ⁣ Yes the senseless death of George Floyd makes us angry, mad, furious but rioting, looting and attacking police hasn’t helped us in the past but embracing the new ways of communication & virtual spaces have and can. So thankful again y’all choose to be here last night vs. there together hopefully we can get more or our brothers and sisters out of the streets and safer when they have to be !
