What I love about Chicago is all of the hidden gems in the city. ย Most people are unaware of Ping Tong Park because it’s tucked away begind China towns marketplace. The exact location isย 1700 S Wentworth Ave, Chicago, IL 60616. It’s a beautiful park that houses a play ground, beautiful greenery and kayacking. My personal favorite, the water taxi dock.

The water taxi is a great way to commute in the city if you want to escape the craziness that happens on CTA from time to time, or driving and paying for parking down town. It operates just like CTA. Purchase a 30 day pass for $60 if you commute downtown for work everyday same as ๐ŸšŒ pass. ย The taxi stops at 7 docks during its route from China town to down town. Or you get on pay a 1 way fare for $5 and get off at your stop if get the spontaneous itch. But even better is the all day pass for just $10.

This comes in handy if you want to get off on the river walk for lunch and transfer to another taxi to take you further east on the lake toward Michigan Ave. The taxi also gives you different cabin options when you transfer so if you want that double decker experience, it’s at no extra cost. The bigger the cabin, the bigger you can make your experience.

Want to throw a boat soire with out leasing a boat, the double decker taxi can be your best friend. Just have all your guest buy all day passes. Bring your own libations and music and BOW, there it is B.O.B babey.

The best thing about the summer schedule is that is runs frequently. So you can have friends meet at a time that’s convenient for everyone.

You can get access to the summer and weekend, or holiday scheldule Here.ย ย A day on the water is a great way to top off the weekend and there is still plenty of time to enjoy rest of the season. It’s also great way to provide bit of variety in your recreational holiday agenda.
